The Lyndon Baines Johnson Museum of San Marcos, Texas, thanks you for your support in purchasing Raffle tickets benefitting the Claudia Taylor Johnson Endowment honoring LBJ’s wife, better known as “Lady Bird.” The endowment was created to help fund future exhibits and programs at the Museum and bring awareness to the programs created during the Johnson Administration by both these amazing native Texans.

When the Raffle began on August 1, 2017, formidable events ensued that were unexpected. Hurricanes, a tragic mass shooting and destructive wild fires all happened in the first 30 days. National attention was naturally diverted to support the victims and their families, especially on social media. Because of these unforeseen circumstances, the Museum’s Board has voted to extend the deadline for sales to January 2, 2018 and the drawing of the winning ticket to January 6, 2018.

The drawing will be held at the Chuck Nash Auto Group in San Marcos, Texas where the truck has been displayed on its show room floor. We appreciate the promotion of the Raffle by Chuck Nash Auto Group as its charitable selection this year for San Marcos’ annual Sights & Sounds of Christmas, where it will be featured for two weekends in December.

Thank you again for your participation. Please buy more tickets and tell your friends about this beautifully restored 1972 Chevrolet C10 truck. Go to lbjmuseum.org for updates.
